About the event

We seem to be living in a time of upheaval and many of us feel called to use our voices to advocate for social justice and social change.

Speaking out either in written format on a podcast or at a rally are important ways that we can use our voices to make change happen in the world around us but how can we ensure that we are advocating for our rights in ways that are not harmful to others?

In this 2 hour workshop we will discuss how each of us can check our poetic privilege when we are writing poetry, songs, stories, articles, or speeches.

Join the Panoptical Poet in the cozy Yurt at the For-rest Retreat in Salmo for this opportunity to learn how to honor your voice and the voices of those around you.
